AM Herd Out

The artwork depicts Navajo people taking the sheep out in the morning. The sheep are taken out in the morning to let them eat. The reason it is done in the morning is because it is cooler than in the afternoon. The artwork was done in 2013 with water color.

Lajasta Wauneka is an award winning Navajo (Dine) artist. She is from Fort Defiance Arizona. Her main style is the rendering of Navajo Dieties (Yei) into her artwork. She has been an artist for most of her life following in the footsteps of her brothers and father.
